With the grace of Baba Mahakal and the blessings of our elders, the wedding of our son Ishaan with Tara is fixed for a February night in Ujjain. Please come with your whole family, bless the two of them, and stay up with us for the stars.

Our story

Under the same sky

Ishaan has been pointing at the sky since class four. Tara is the first person who looked up and kept looking.

  1. 2023

    The power cut

    A cousin's sangeet in Indore. The lights went out, Ishaan used the dark to point out Saturn, and Tara was the only one who asked a second question.

  2. 2025

    Sarafa nights

    A year of late plates of garadu at Sarafa, one hand eating, the other pointing up. She won most of the arguments about which star is which.

  3. 2027

    Dhruv darshan

    Seven phere around the fire. Then the oldest promise in the sky: Ishaan shows Tara the pole star, which never moves, and Arundhati, who never leaves Vasishtha's side. Look up with them.

    Baraat at 7, jaimala at 8:30, phere at the 11:40 pm muhurat. After the phere Ishaan will show Tara the pole star. Look up with them.

    Indore airport is about an hour away by road. Tell us your flight and a car will be waiting.

  • By train

    Ujjain Junction is about 15 minutes from the venue. Send us your train and coach, and someone will meet you.

  • Where to stay

    Rooms are held near Mahakal Lok for family and friends. Mention it in your reply.

  • February nights

    Warm days, but nights drop to about 10°C. The phere run late, so bring a shawl.
